An American [geek's] Childhood, No. 25

I wish I had my dad's shirt. That thing is boss. Also, does anyone else ever have an existential crisis wondering who took your childhood family pictures? I mean, there were no camera timers, so someone was pushing the button here.

Marineland – the Land of Marines. If I remember this trip correctly, the highlight was about 2 hours in a ball pit. Confusing on several levels.

Marineland was on its way down at this time…hardly any marine animals. The ball pit was the highlight of the visit!

When it came to hairstyles, what was I thinking????

    • mama says:

By the way Shan~~ you are wearing a one-piece culotte dress that I made for you… :) What is it with Florida and culottes…

    You’re dad looks good. :)

Marineland! The place that forever turned my mom against places like SeaWorld. We went to the one in California, naturally, and I was thrilled that the whale spit (splashed) on me. We have pictures with the guy in some sort of marine mammal costume. No giant skull shots for us.

And can I tell you how jealous I am that your mom comments on these posts. Mine says she can just talk to me and leave the computer out all together. I wonder if she’d respond if I started posting some of her old hairdos, nah, then I’d have to show you mine. Not curly enough to be curly but wavy enough to be obnoxious and result in many ugly feathered haircuts.
